David was born in 1973 in the UK, is a self-taught artist and has exhibited regularly with the Royal Society of Portrait Painters, The New English Art Club, the Royal Institute of Oil Painters and the Threadneedle Prize. He lives in Boston, Massachusetts and is a member of the Guild of Boston Artists.
“Moving from the UK to New England has required many adjustments one of which has been to the climate ! The sheer variety of weather patterns here is astonishing and offer the landscape artist endless possibilities. From a milky sunset on Cape Cod, an approaching storm in the Berkshires, to three days of consistent morning light on snow, it really is a challenging place to be for the painter. To make a credible image in such conditions is my inspiration.”
